There is a shortcut though to learning how to identify your niche market.
One of the most POPULAR bits of “marketing wisdom” dispensed by marketing gurus to business owners is:
IDENTIFY YOUR NICHE MARKET
When you target everyone with your advertising, you reach no one!
Identifying your niche market plays a HUGE role in creating advertising and marketing messages that break through the marketing clutter and deliver your compelling and selling message DIRECTLY to your niche market.
However, most marketing advice begins and ends there. As for exactly HOW you’re supposed to go about identifying your niche market, that process is usually left up in the air. It’s up to you, the business owner, to learn through trial and error exactly who wants your products and services. If you’re lucky, you’ll have deep enough pockets to find this essential information out through trial and error.
There is a shortcut though to learning how to identify your niche market. After working with literally HUNDREDS of small business owners, I got tired of hearing me repeat myself. So, I wrote a book Beyond the Niche: Essential Tools You Need to Create Marketing Messages that Deliver Results.
The book walks you step by step through the process of choosing a niche market. Then, it shows you not only how to create compelling and selling messages but also how to deliver those messages using traditional media. (Hint: Radio and television are a LOT more cost effective advertising options for most small business owners than the ever popular Google Adwords.)

Niche Marketing is the one real opportunity the small guy still has In online marketing. With major corps. flooding the web with big budgets for there promotions. I found long ago a little of alot works the best. Volume is the key make small 3 or 4 page sites very focused on one subject and just keep building for different niches works very well.
