Keeping track of demographics is essential. For e-commerce businesses, Google Analytics is a great way to keep track of that

Hi Kathy

Cant believe such an excellent article got so few comments?

Strategy is interesting especially with sovcial media at the monent. We are based in the UK and so many business owners we work with think they have to do it all..rather than have a strategy for "their" customers.

e.g in the UK the average age of Face book users is under 30 so if your target market is over 60 you might want to spend your resources else where.

Best Wishes

A successful marketing strategy requires the use of marketing tactics, also you should know your market as what strategy works for one group of people may not work for the next group.
