Kathy Hendershot-HurdMy name is Kathy Hendershot-Hurd and I’ve been helping businesses you’ve never heard of create measurable success with their marketing for over 20 years.

Over the years, I’ve discovered exactly what works and what doesn’t work when it comes creating advertising success.

My journey began when I landed a position as an account executive with a “traditional” advertising agency back in the mid-80’s. (Back then, there were only two types of ad agencies… regional and national and they all dealt with managing delivering advertising messages via traditional media.)

I must admit, even though I had a degree with majors in both economics and marketing, I discovered that my real “education” in marketing began the day I started working with “real world” advertising clients.

Years went by, and my education continued, even after I left the “glamorous” world of traditional ad agencies and took a step “backwards” into media sales following the birth of my daughter was born 20 years ago.

When my youngest son was born in 1994, I taught myself to program in HTML during my maternity leave. Three years later, I resigned my position as an advertising sales manager for a the flagship station of a media group and launched my own web development business.

I would later refer to this shift as “a perfectly enjoyable hobby gone horribly awry.”

Web SolutionsMy approach to web development soon evolved into the same approach I had use when I was working in traditional media.

When I would begin working with a small business owner on developing a web site, I would put on my “media rep” hat and began asking my web development client the same questions I would have asked small business owners who were wanting to advertising in “traditional” media such as newspaper, radio or television.

* Why would a visitor (customer) would come to the site?
* What information were they actively seeking?
* What problems were they seeking to solve?

Times have changed. Small business owners now readily recognize the fact that their web site is just one tool in their marketing arsenal.

When clients hire me, they get access to over two decades of “real world” advertising and marketing experience which is precisely applied to their specific business model. I help them discover that there is a simple, intuitive formula to uncover what their customers are REALLY looking for when they enter the doors of their store or click on their website.
